What people do here with their smartphone

👶

Baby shoot & milestones

A newborn in a basket on a fur, the same photo on the same background every month, or the first birthday. Soft continuous light that does not startle your little one.

👨‍👩‍👧

Family & kids

Jumping, tickling, piling onto the sofa. With the children's chairs, the crates and three different walls you create a series in two hours that feels like a real shoot.

🤳

Portrait & socials

A profile picture, content for Instagram or TikTok, a series of selfies with studio flair. Tripod or plinth, timer on, and the lamp does the rest.

📦

Product photos

Clean product shots on the white wall, on the plinths or on a small backdrop panel in wood, concrete or black, with even LED light. Ideal for your webshop, Vinted or Etsy, without spending a cent on equipment.

💑

Couples & maternity

Intimate photos without a stranger in the room. The wooden slat wall with warm light or the black wall for silhouettes: you choose the mood.

🎬

Video & reels

Continuous light is video light by definition. Shoot vertical clips for your socials in the same session, with a plain background and no flicker.

Set your own exposure, especially on the white wall

Every smartphone camera in automatic mode assumes a scene is on average grey. In front of our large white infinity wall your phone mostly sees white, thinks "too bright" and darkens everything. The result: a dull background and a face that is too dark. On the black wall the exact opposite happens. The fix takes five seconds:

🤖 Android

Press and hold on the image for a couple of seconds until focus and exposure lock. A sun icon appears next to the frame. Slide that sun to the right until the white wall is truly white. On the black wall, slide it to the left.

🍎 iPhone

Tap your model's face and hold for a moment until you see "AE/AF Lock". Then slide the sun icon next to the yellow box up for brighter, down for darker.

Do this once per setup and every photo in that series is instantly consistent. It is the difference between "phone photo" and "studio photo".

Six things that make the difference

  1. Use the main camera (1x) or the telephoto (2x, 3x). The ultra-wide (0.5x) distorts faces. Step back a few metres instead.
  2. Turn off your phone's flash. The LED on your phone competes with the studio light and gives flat, harsh photos.
  3. Wipe your lens. A greasy smudge creates a hazy glow no lamp can fix. A T-shirt will do.
  4. Start with one lamp. An LED spot in a softbox, 45 degrees to the side and slightly above the face. A white reflector on the other side. Done.
  5. Close the blackout curtains. That way daylight does not mix with your lamps and your white balance is right automatically. Set all lamps to the same colour temperature.
  6. In the photo yourself? Mini tripod or phone holder, timer at 10 seconds, or trigger with your smartwatch or a Bluetooth remote.

Book online

Pick a date, time and duration in the portal and pay right away. Two hours is enough for most smartphone shoots. Check the prices or book right away.

2

Let yourself in with your code

You receive a personal access code. Let yourself in, switch on the LED lights with one button and pick your wall. There is nobody else in the studio.

3

Shoot, switch, repeat

White, black, wood, sofa, plinth: change the look whenever you like. Set your exposure once per setup and shoot away. Coffee and tea are waiting.

Smartphone photoshoot: the details

Can I really come to the studio without a camera?

Yes. More and more bookings come from people who bring only their smartphone. The continuous LED light works with every phone, the backgrounds and props are included, and you have the studio to yourself. There is nothing to rent or buy.

Do the studio flashes work with my phone?

No. A flash needs a trigger on a camera's hot shoe, and a smartphone does not have one. So use the six LED video lights instead: they stay on constantly, so you see on your screen exactly what you get. For beginners that is even easier.

Do I need experience with lighting?

No. One lamp in a softbox, at an angle to the side and slightly above the face, is enough for a portrait that instantly looks "studio". The lamps switch on with one button and are dimmable. And because nobody is watching, you can calmly try things out.

Why do my photos on the white wall turn grey?

Because your camera app in automatic mode pulls everything towards middle grey. Press and hold on the image to lock the exposure and slide the sun icon to the right (Android) or up (iPhone) until the wall is truly white. On the black wall you do the opposite.

What does a smartphone shoot cost?

The same as any studio booking: 95 euro for 2 hours, 160 euro for 4 hours or 275 euro for a full day, everything included. Individuals pay including VAT. For a family, couple or baby shoot with your smartphone, 2 hours is more than enough.

Can I also do a baby shoot or product photos?

Absolutely. For a baby shoot there are wicker baskets, fur rugs, children's chairs and a foldable bed ready, and the soft continuous light does not startle your little one. For product photos you use the white plinths or the infinity wall with even LED light. Read our guide to a baby shoot with your smartphone.
